Charlestown Arsenal
The Charlestown Arsenal was an arsenal of the United States Army that existed from 1794 to 1816 in Charlestown, Boston. Abandoned at the end of the War of 1812, the land was turned over to the United States Navy, which then built the Charlestown Navy Yard beginning in 1816.[1]
