Charlie Thomas (sports presenter)

Charlie Thomas is a sports presenter for Sky News. He was Sky Sports cricket reporter during the 90s, covering county cricket and England series home and abroad, including series in Australia (94/5), South Africa (95), Zimbabwe (96) and two in West Indies (94 and 98). He also covered the World Cup in 1999. He has subsequently reported on Ashes series in England, including 2005, 2009 and 2013. In 2012 he covered the London Olympics for Sky News. Prior to that he was among the first football reporters for Sky Sports in 1992, covering the first season of the Premier League. Before joining Sky he was sports reporter for Capital Radio and IRN, covering the Wimbledon Championship in 1990. He was also tennis and rugby union commentator for Screensport, including the 1991 rugby union World Cup. He began his career as a journalist on the Hounslow Informer in 1985.
