Christiaan Roets (born in South Africa)[4] is a Welsh international rugby league player currently playing for the North Wales Crusaders in the Championship One. He previously played for the Bridgend Blue Bulls in the Welsh rugby league competition, South Wales Scorpions in the Championship One and started his rugby league career at Swansea Valley Miners.

International career

He made his international debut in the 2009 European Cup where he earned a "Man of the Match" performance, scoring three tries against the Serbians.[4] He also featured in the European Cup Championship Final against Scotland scoring one try.[5] Roets scored a try for Wales in their game against England in the 2012 Tri-Nations.[6]

He was named in the South African team for the 2013 Rugby League World Cup Qualifiers.

Roets played for Wales in the 2013 Rugby League World Cup. Roets was the top scorer for the Welsh, scoring four tries in the Tournament.

In October 2014, Roets played in the 2014 European Cup.[7] He scored a try in the opening game against Scotland.

In October 2015, Roets played in the 2015 European Cup tournament.

In October 2016, Roets played in the 2017 World Cup qualifiers.
