Christian E. Elder (born September 7, 1970 in New York, New York) is an American film director, poet, screenwriter, and a visual artist. The son of screenwriter and playwright Lonne Elder III and actress Judyann Elder,[1] he is best known for his 2013 short film The Big Meet.
Elder began as an illustrator at Neal Adams' Continuity Studios in Burbank, California. While developing as a storyboard artist, he pursued writing and performing slam poetry. [2] Elder's screenplay about a CIA agent posing as a priest in St. Louis, Missouri, qualified him as a quarterfinalist for the Nicholl Fellowships in Screenwriting in 2012. His debut as a filmmaker took place in 2013 at the LA Shorts Fest[3] [4] with the crime satire short film The Big Meet, starring Lane Carlson (Fear Factor)[5] of the Carlson Twins. The film was the recipient of the Earth Award at the 2013 CineRockom International Film Festival.
