Christophe Guyot

Christophe Guyot (born July 13, 1962 in Marseille) is a French motorcycle racer, national Superbike champion, 24 Hours of Le Mans winner and endurance world champion. He is now the GMT94 team manager, competing in the Motorcycle World Endurance Championship. He is also a MOTOGP consultant for the Eurosport television network.

Early life and education

He graduated as a teacher in 1984 and taught until 1990. Married to Brigitte, with whom he had two children, Marie (1993) and Remi (1996), he began competing in 1989 in the 350 Promosport class on a Yamaha RDLC. He started the Guyot Motorcycle Team (GMT) in 1991. He then became the president of the GMT94 association affiliated to the FFM.

Initially 100% private, the team grows with the arrival of Yamaha France as a partner in 2003 (see Motardscope: Christophe Guyot).

Beyond the competition, the GMT94 has a second purpose: to use racing as a tool to develop many projects for bikers and youth (see Fête des solidarités : Journée solidaire et festive). Christophe Guyot has been supported by the Mutuelle des Motards since 1993.

Christophe Guyot represented riders from 1994 to 2004. He is currently a member of the Management Committee of French Motorcycling Federation (term 2012-2016). He has also been a member of the observatory of L'Expansion since 2002.

Christophe Guyot and his team have always worn the number 94, symbol of the French department with which they carry out many actions.

The GMT94, World Endurance Champion 2014, has now become official Yamaha Racing team.
