Christopher Buhler Berendt
Christopher Buhler Berendt is an executive who has played a prominent role in shaping global carbon markets. After graduation from a leading law school in the state of Vermont, Berendt ran a New England law firm that specialized on the intersection between energy and environmental market law. He has also been involved at universities.
Currently, Berendt serves as an executive at an international carbon and energy consultancy,[1] where he invented the carbon adder concept and now directs the environmental markets practice. Berendt is also involved in public service. In 2007, Berendt testified to the US Senate on the inextricable link between energy and climate.[2]
