Colin Cassidy (born 20 May 1988 in Dublin) is a goalkeeper currently playing for Kildare County.[1]
He signed for the Kildare County Under-18 team after a successful trial. Colin has represented the Republic of Ireland at under 15 to 17, and spent time at Southampton F.C.. Cassidy started the season as the Kildare Countys senior team's third choice goalkeeper but injuries to both John Flynn and Austin O' Neill saw Colm become the club's first choice goalkeeper towards the end of the 2007 season. He made his debut for the senior team in the side pre season friendly against Bohemians in February 2007. His first competitive debut arrived in the league game against Limerick 37 at Station Road on May 27, 2007. Cassidy came on as a replacement for Padraig Amond after John Flynn had been sent off.
