Cooliekkaran is a 1987 Tamil Indian feature film directed by Rajasekhar for S. Thanu. The film stars Vijayakanth and Rupini in the lead roles. The movie was a commercial success at the time of release.[1] The film was a remake of Hindi film Kaalia.
Plot
VK lives with his elder brother (Nagesh), sister-in-law (Srividya), and their little daughter. He spends his time idly he is scolded by his brother so VK becomes a coolie and transports articles . He is jailed for smuggling . His brother gets into accident at work at the mill and loses his arms. He loses his job and needs money for treatment. VK is released. VK begs his brother's boss (Radharavi), but he refuses. VK breaks into the boss' safe to get the money but it's too late as the brother dies. The boss throws VK in jail. This is where he meets the men and decide to take revengeand he is bent on seeking vengeance In jail, VK meets the warden (Jai), a smart, ethical, strong man, whose daughter was kidnapped by one of the prisoners when she was little. After his release,he is a different, stronger man. He and his accomplices steal the gold that the boss had been smuggling at the mill. VK,his accomplices lie to his sister-in-law They move from poverty into riches. VK and his men snatch a diamond which is very rare and he wins it But Roopini steals it(fake diamond) . Roopini’s father(Vijayan) is killed by Radharavi. Vijayan was once a henchmen of Radharavi. Vijayan was assigned to kill Jai & his family in an accident Jai’s wife is killed and Vijayan keeps the child with him) Roopini is now reformed . Vk & Roopini falls in love and for their engagement he buys all the flowers in the city so Jai grew suspicious and starts following VK Radharavi buys a counterfeit machine which is spoilt by VK enraged by this Radharavi spills the beans to Vk’s sister-in-law (Srividya) that VK is a smuggler. Srividya urges Vk to leave this business The boss throes VK in jail. This is where he meets in the jial through the house of commons spills the beans of have the caves in the sridivya that thought to be the case of bumrah which is said to be the nightmare of elm street which is told to go on gloors diwali in which the wihch where yhe hous of commons is said to be filled by the ruler in sakupudi in that area.
