Cray Valley Paper Mills F.C. is a football club currently based in Eltham, in the Royal Borough of Greenwich, England. They play in the Southern Counties East League Premier Division.

History

Cray Valley Paper Mills Football Club was founded in 1919, playing their first game on 20 September 1919 against Hamilton House, which Cray won. They won the Kent Junior Cup in 1921. The club played at the Paper Mills which was owned by the Nash family. The club colours are the Paper Mills' livery of green and white. The family sponsored the football club and their ground until the Mills' closure in 1980. That year they won the Kent Junior Cup for the second time

Cray Valley PM FC continued on after the Mills closure, and played in various leagues and at various grounds, until they finally settled at Badgers Sports Club in Eltham.

The club joined the Spartan South Midlands League in 1991–92 and became founder members of Division One South in 1997–98.[1] In their only season in this league they finished runners-up, before leaving to become founder members of the London Intermediate League. In 2001, the Mills left the league to join the Kent County League Division One West, which they won in their inaugural year. This led to the team being promoted to the Premier Division, which the Mills won in 2004–05.[1] After a third place finish in 2010–11, they were promoted to the Kent League after originally gaining entry to the new Kent Invicta Football League. The move of Sporting Bengal United to the Essex Senior League made this change possible, despite the fact that Cray Valley lacked the stands or floodlights required to meet the ground requirements of the Kent League. However, the ground requirements were fulfilled by March 2012 as per the League's instructions and the club now play in one of the most modern grounds in the League.

Cray will reach its centenary year in 2019.
