Cruel Winter is the upcoming second compilation album by recording artists of American record label GOOD Music.[2][3]
Background and recording
On June 3, 2016, Kanye West released the first single from Cruel Winter entitled "Champions", which features West, Gucci Mane, Big Sean, 2 Chainz, Travis Scott, Yo Gotti, Quavo and Desiigner. In an interview with Big Boy's Neighborhood, West confirmed that this was the first song taken from the album.[3]
On September 2, 2016, Travis Scott said that he will be the album's executive producer. He then announced that the album should be released in February 2017. [1]
On September 7, 2016, Travis Scott said on Hot 97 "I would say we have a lot of songs done, how many songs we got picked, I will only say like a handful", he then stated that everybody on the label was involved and it was very youthful. [4]
On September 8, 2016, it was announced that Tyga was signed to GOOD Music. The Atlanta group Migos was signed to the label under a management deal, hinting at their involvement in the project.
