Daniel "Dan" Levy (born March 19, 1981), is an American comedian, actor, writer, and producer, from Stamford, Connecticut. He currently lives in Los Angeles, California.[1]
Early life
Levy was born on March 19, 1981 to Linda and Elliott L. Levy.[1] He graduated from Emerson College in Boston.
Career
In 1993, Levy was a member of the "Half Pint Players", a teen-age improvisation group in Stamford, Connecticut.[2] While a student at Emerson College in Boston, Massachusetts, Levy won the title of Funniest College Comedian in America at the HBO US Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen, CO.[3]
Levy co-starred in the feature film, My Sexiest Year, with Frankie Muniz and Harvey Keitel. He was also featured in the SONY Screen Gems film Mardi Gras.
Levy filmed the IHaveToGoInAMinuteShow, a daily comedy show produced by CollegeHumor and directed by Todd Strauss-Schulson.[4] Levy produced, wrote, and starred in My Long Distance Relationship, a 10-part web series for Crackle. In April 2013, Levy collaborated with Jensen Karp to create Baby Talk, a live comedy show where 3 to 4 comedians ask for parenting advice from children between the ages of 5 and 10 years old. The show is held at NerdMelt Showroom in Los Angeles.[5]
Personal life
Levy is married to writer and actress Rachel Specter.[1] They welcomed a son, Abe, in May 2013, and daughter, Romy, in 2015. Levy is close friends with stand-up comedian John Mulaney, and officiated the latter's wedding in 2014.
