In 2010, Anderson officially held the fifth highest score ever recorded on Nintendo Tetris.[3] He has a brief cameo in the season 8 episode of CSI: New York, "Kill Screen", which is about competitive gaming.[4]

Recently, Anderson recorded guitar on rapper Hyro Da Hero's upcoming album, Birth, School, Work, Death. The Ross Robinson (producer of At the Drive-In, Slipknot, Korn, Glassjaw, Norma Jean, The Blood Brothers) produced album also features Paul Hinojos (of at the Drive-In, Sparta, The Mars Volta), Mark Gajadhar and Cody Votolato (of The Blood Brothers).[5][6]

On October 14, 2010, Anderson released an EP of electronic and dance music under the moniker, Glowbug.[7]

In late 2013, Anderson announced a musical collaboration with Lourdes Hernández of Russian Red, called Spectorize.[8]
