Daniel McGarry (born August 28, 1987 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) is an American soccer player who currently plays for Western Mass Pioneers in the USL Second Division.

Career

College

McGarry attended Calvary Christian Academy and played two years of college soccer at Arcadia University before transferring to Liberty University as a junior.

At Arcadia University, McGarry was selected to the Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (PAC) First Team during both his freshman and sophomore seasons in 2004 and 2005. He was also named to the regional All-America team both seasons. He helped Arcadia win the PAC title and reach the third round of the NCAA Division III Tournament as a freshman. As a sophomore, he started 17 of his 18 games and produced eight goals and two assists for 18 points. He led Arcadia to a 4-0 victory in the championship game of the 2005 Cialella Soccer Classic.

At Liberty University, McGarry completed his collegiate career, earning All-Big South honors both seasons and helping the Flames win a conference championship.

Professional

McGarry turned professional in 2009, signing with the Western Mass Pioneers in the USL Second Division. He made his pro debut on April 25, 2009 as a substitute in the Pioneers' 3-1 opening day loss to the Harrisburg City Islanders,[1] and went on to make 10 appearances in his debut season.
