Daniel Ray Spradlin (born March 3, 1959) is a former American football linebacker who played five seasons in the National Football League with the Dallas Cowboys, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and St. Louis Cardinals. He was drafted by the Dallas Cowboys in the fifth round of the 1981 NFL Draft. He played college football at the University of Tennessee and attended Maryville High School in Maryville, Tennessee.[1]
Professional career
Dallas Cowboys
Spradlin was selected by the Dallas Cowboys with the 137th pick in the 1981 NFL Draft. He played in 25 games for the Cowboys from 1981 to 1982.[1]
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Spradlin was traded to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on August 24, 1983 for a fifth round pick in the 1984 NFL Draft.[2] He played in 31 games, starting two, for the Buccaneers from 1983 to 1984.[1] He was released by the Buccaneers on August 26, 1985.[3]
St. Louis Cardinals
Spradlin played in seven games for the St. Louis Cardinals during the 1985 season.[1]
