Darlia is a British rock band from Blackpool. Formed in 2013, the band have so far released three EPs and a mini-album, Petals.[1]
History
The band was formed in 2013 in Blackpool by former schoolmates Nathan Day and Jack Bentham, along with Dave Williams. They signed with B-Unique recordings, and released three EPs, and five singles between 2013 and 2015. Petals, an eight track mini-album, was released in 2015, charting at number 79 in the UK.[2] Their first full LP is expected to be released in 2016. The band have toured supporting Gerard Way and The Wombats, played Glastonbury Festival and Reading Festival, as well as being part of the NME Awards Tour 2015.[3]
It is believed that in early 2016, frontman Nathan Day was abducted by aliens. The exact location of the frontman remains unknown, though it is reported to be somewhere just above Earth.
The abduction allegedly took place while Day was on his flat balcony in Salford between March 11th and February 14th, 2016.
NASA confirmed contact with the aliens and reported Day is generally unharmed and will be returning to earth late 2016.
In an interview with NME, Day claimed there’s an entire recording studio on the UFO, and that one of the aliens is a “really good producer so I thought I'd stay up here and get some tunes done and come back to release and tour them"
