Datamatics (BSE: 532528) provides information technology, business process outsourcing, software engineering and consulting services. It is headquartered in Mumbai, India.
History
Datamatics Global Services Limited set up a Dedicated Offshore Development Center for Wang Labs, USA, in 1983. In 1992, it entered the area of electronic publishing. In 2000, it acquired controlling stake in a US-listed data management company (Saztec International) while in 2003 it scaled up a dedicated facility into a Joint Venture in the BPO space through the acquisition of CorPay. Although it is a public listed the majority of the shares rest with Kanodia family.
Acquisitions
- In August 2011, Datamatics had acquired California based IT firm, CIGNEX, specializing in Open Source. [2]
- In July 2011, Datamatics had acquired a controlling stake in Bangalore based Vista Infosystems, an unlisted entity specializing in the Embedded Systems space. [3]
- In May 2015, Datamatics acquired 1KEY Suite of Offerings from MAIA Business Intelligence [4]
