David Clarke (lecturer)
David Clarke is lecturer at Sheffield Hallam University, and a noted writer and broadcaster on the subject of UFO sightings in the United Kingdom.
Early life
He gained a BA from the University of Sheffield in 1990 in Archaeology, Prehistory and Medieval History.
He has a PhD in English Cultural Tradition and Folklore, gained at the National Centre for English Cultural Tradition, at the University of Sheffield in 1999.
Career

He teaches journalism at Sheffield Hallam University, where he is the course leader
UFO sightings
He helped publish The UFO Files: The Inside Story of Real-Life Sightings in 2009, produced by the The National Archives at Kew, as part of a declassification of UFO documents.[1]
He has made media appearances to discuss UFO-related material,[2] sometimes in public disagreement with Nick Pope, a journalist formerly employed by the Ministry of Defence.[3]
