David "Dai" Thomas Harris (born 15 February 1879[1] — death registered April→June 1958 (aged 79)[2]) born in Morriston, was a Welsh blacksmith's assistant, and rugby union and professional rugby league footballer of the 1900s, playing club level rugby union (RU) for Treherbert RFC, as a Centre, i.e. number 12 or 13, and playing representative level rugby league (RL) for Other Nationalities, and at club level for Wigan, as a Centre, i.e. number 3 or 4,[3] his death was registered in Neath district.
Playing career
International honours
Dai Harris won a cap, playing Centre, i.e. number 4, and scored the third try, for Other Nationalities in the 9-3 victory over England at Central Park, Wigan on Tuesday 5 April 1904, in the first ever international rugby league match.[4]
Club career
During Dai Harris' time at Wigan, they won the South West Lancashire League in 1904–05.
