David R Newton

David Richard Newton is a British artist who studied Fine Art at Nottingham Trent University and Illustration at the Royal College of Art. He has exhibited extensively in group and solo exhibitions. His work is held in private and public collections; including the permanent collection of the Science Museum London.[1][2] Newton has exhibited with Turner Prize winner Chris Ofili,[3] Nobel and Webster,[4] and Tracey Emin.

Early Life and Education

Born in Birmingham, United Kingdom in 1967, Newton studied at Bournville College of Art before moving to Nottingham and then London in 1992. Newton attended the Royal College of Art[5] from 1992 to 1994, his tutors including Professor Dan Fern, Professor Andriez Klimowski and Sir Christopher Frayling. During this time Newton was appointed Artist in Residence at The Science Museum, London. A mural he created based on Nano Technology is now part of the museum's permanent collection.
