Deendar (Urdu: دين دار‎) is a Muslim community in Pakistan. Many members of the Hindu Dalit Chura community converted to Christianity during the British Raj. After the independence of Pakistan in 1947, many of the Christian Chura accepted Islam and they known as Deendar. Dīn means religion and Dar means follower in Urdu language.^[1] They are also called Deendar Changar. The Muslim Shaikh community converted to Islam from the Hindu Chuhra caste.
