Desmond "Des" J. Case (birth registered April→June 1918 (age 9798)

[1]) birth registered in Newport district, is a Welsh rugby union and professional rugby league footballer of the 1930s and 1940s, playing club level rugby union (RU) for Cross Keys RFC, and Newport RFC, and playing representative level rugby league (RL) for Wales, and at club level for Bradford Northern, as a Wing, Centre, i.e. number 2 or 5, or 3 or 4.[2] Des Case was a Sergeant Major in the British Army during World War II.[3]

Des Case won 4 caps for Wales in 1938–1947 while at Bradford Northern.[4]

Championship final appearances

Des Case played in Bradford Northern's 5-15 defeat by Warrington in the Championship final during the 1947–48 season at Maine Road, Manchester on Saturday 8 May 1948.[5]

Challenge Cup Final Appearances

Des Case played Centre, i.e. number 3 in Bradford Northern's 3-8 defeat by Wigan in the 1948 Challenge Cup final during the 1947–48 season at Wembley Stadium, London on Saturday 1 May 1948.[6]

Des Case played right-Wing for Northern Command XIII against a Rugby League XIII at Thrum Hall, Halifax on Saturday 21 March 1942.[3]

Des Case's marriage to Betty Ackland (birth registered October→December 1918 (age 9798)
