Dhing Shah, a village in Kasur District 33 km from the city of Kasur, is named after a shrine to Baba Dhing Shah. Dhing Shah is crossroad from where Usman Wala Road begins. The village has a Government Boys High School and Girls Middle School.[1] This village has been facilitated by Govt. of Punjab recently with Sui Gas (Pipe line gas), clean water, TV cable and Internet. However, Dhing Shah is facing the lack of disposal of proper drainage system of sewerage water. Political leaders (Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan MPA, Malik Rasheed Khan MNA) should take initiative to do this.
Hafiz Muhammad Arshad Zahid son of Ghulam Rasool (Rtd) is a famous Hockey player, running Jinnah Hockey Club[2] as a Manager, Artist and Renowned Personality. He trained and produced many hockey players including Muhammad Arshad,[3][4] a former member of Pakistan National Hockey Team, comes from Dhing Shah. Muhammad Imran Junior, brother of Muhammad Arshad, currently plays for the Pakistan National Hockey team.[5] Two CSP officers hail from this village. Akbar Ali Khan Mayo is working as Assistant Commissioner in Federal Board of Revenue. Asghar Ali Khan Mayo is a Deputy Secretary in Ministry Of Defence [citation needed].
