Douglas Scott Hardcastle (1886–9 May 1915) was an English professional football inside left who played in the Football League for Derby County.[1]
Personal life
Hardcastle worked as a stove grate pattern maker.[3] He served as a lance corporal in the Sherwood Foresters during the First World War and died on the Western Front on 9 May 1915.[3] He is commemorated on the Ploegsteert Memorial.[2]
