Dovi Frances (born November 20, 1978) is an international financier, an entrepreneur, and managing partner of SGVC.

Biography

Dovi Frances was born in Tel Aviv, Israel to an eastern European family of Holocaust survivors. Frances served as a Company Commander (Captain) in Bahad I, Israeli Defense Forces' Officers Academy ationed in the Negev Desert. After his military service in 2000, he was the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Mitsubishi Motors and Hyundai Motor Company's largest subsidiaries in Israel. In 2005, Frances earned his dual BA from the Ben Gurion University in Business Administration and Psychology. He graduated in June 2008 with a Masters of Business Administration in Finance and Marketing from UCLA Anderson School of Management. Following his studies at UCLA, he joined Deutsche Bank Private Bank as one of twenty wealth managers that were tasked with managing the financial affairs of ultra-high-net-worth clients in North America.

SG, LLC

In 2010 Frances founded SG, LLC, a global advisory firm that operated in the US, Russia, and Israel. The firm provided ultra-high-net-worth clients with unique solutions to their complex financial needs. Since the beginning of 2010 and until May 2015, SG has facilitated over 940 Million USD in completed transactions through its Lending, Insurance, and Operations Divisions. The firm has also directly invested over 240 Million USD through its Alternative Investments and Asset Management Divisions. While at SG, LLC, Frances was also recognized for breaking a Guinness World Record selling the world's largest life insurance policy[2]

Venture Investing - SGVC

In January 2012, Frances formed SGVC as the Alternative Investment arm of SG, LLC. SGVC is an early stage venture capital firm focused on partnering with and providing resources to visionary entrepreneurs in their pursuit to transform and abstract large and opaque industries. In May 2015 Frances acquired SGVC Fund I and its portfolio out of SG, LLC and stepped down to focus solely on venture capital investments. On January 2016 Frances announced the launch of SGVC Fund II,[3] a 50MM USD fund focused on providing capital to early stage Business to Business, Enterprise Software, Financial and Real Estate Technology companies.

Frances serves as a board member and an advisor to: Addepar, Tipalti, SkyGiraffe, Covercy and YouNow.
