Dushyanth Sridhar
Dushyanth Sridhar is a public speaker and Indian writer on ancient Indian religious texts. Born in 1986, as of 2014 he is one of the youngest in the field of Sanskrit and Tamil texts. He appears regularly on regional Indian TV channels, and travels worldwide to deliver lectures.
He was born in Bangalore. He did his schooling there and in Chennai, after which he obtained his Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering and Masters in Chemistry from BITS, Pilani.[1] He was a visiting faculty member at WE School,[2] a business school in Mumbai. He had previously worked with Tata Consultancy Services, Kantar Group (TNS Health), Panacea Biotec, Avalon Global Research and the Speak well English Academy.. He was trained in Sanskrit and Tamil hymns from a very young age . He then received advanced training in Sri Vaishnava scriptures from revered preceptors. He has performed in the presence of pontiffs from reputed religious institutions like Ahobila Mutt, Nanguneri Vanamamalai Mutt , Melkote Yathiraja Mutt , Thiruvilliputtur Manavala Mamunigal Jeeyar Mutt, Shakatapuram Shankaracharya Samsthanam and Palimar Mutt
He is a regular speaker on television including STAR Vijay, Jaya TV, Polimer TV, Sri Sankara TV, DD Podhigai TV,SVBC Channel[3] and Mega TV. His YouTube videos were viewed over 2 million times.[1][2]He rendered the Sanskrit breathless file on Raghuveera Gadyam (Ramayana) which is a popular video on YouTube and this was rendered in over 10 ragams.
He has delivered over 2000 discourses worldwide in 4 languages namely English, Tamil, Hindi and Kannada.He has also recorded a commentary in Telugu for a dance ballet. He delivers motivation lectures at old-age and retirement homes. He delivers motivation lectures to students of schools and colleges. He also gives presentation on management in ancient scriptures to corporate firms. He has performed with leading artistes like Carnatica Brothers, Melbourne brothers, R.P.Shravan , Suchithra.B, Amritha Murali and Anahita-Apoorva Ravindran. He has arranged heritage tours in partnership with a travel agent. The yatras are Chola Nattu, Malai Nattu, Pandiya-Nadu Nattu, Vada Nattu, Andhra Nattu, Thondai Nattu, Nava-Dwaraka and Sri Lanka. Together they have taken over 600 pilgrims to 170 temples in a three year period. He has partnered with a researcher and formed the Darshanam Art Creations. Their productions have included 'Aranganin Pathaiyil' and 'Srinivasam Prapadye'. He has released multiple albums in the past. Currently a memory chip carrying over 220 hours of his lectures is made available in various stores and portals for listeners to buy.
He has received many awards like Young Achievers' Award from Rotary Club (Chennai) and Giants International (Kalyan), Bhagawata Bhaswan Anjan Namboodri Award from Mahalingapuram Ayyappan Temple (Chennai), Global 30 under 30 Award from BITSAA International, Sollin Selvan title from South Indian Bhajana Samajam, Best Parliamentarian Award from G.D.Birla Memorial Trust (Pilani) and Sir C.P.Ramaswami Aiyar Foundation (Chennai), Research Fellowship by Indian Academy of Sciences, Best Outgoing Student Award by Kishkintha Theme Park (Chennai), School Pupil Leader Medal by N.S.N Matriculation Higher Secondary School (Chennai) and Best Champ Award by Britannia India (Chennai)
