Edward Browning 'E. B.' McClain (born April 29, 1940) was a Democratic member of the Alabama Senate, representing the 19th District from 1995 through 2009. Previously he was a member of the Alabama House of Representatives, from 1987 through 1994.
Conviction
McClain vacated his senate seat on January 21, 2009, after being convicted in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Alabama on 48 counts of theft, money laundering, mail fraud, bribery, conspiracy, and political corruption.
