El Michels Affair is a New York City based instrumental band founded by Leon Michels in 2005. Their first album, Sounding Out The City, was recorded in Michels’ bedroom to a Tascam 388 and released on Truth and Soul Records.
in 2005, they were paired with Raekwon for a concert series organized by Scion. This led to a later tour that featured multiple members of the Wu-Tang Clan and later to the release of their second record, Enter the 37th Chamber which introduced them to a much larger audience and has been their most successful release to date.[1]
