The Rough lanternfish or Electrona subaspera is a marine, bathypelagic fish. It occurs circumglobal between the subtropical convergence and the Antarctic polar front. It also inhabits the Atlantic Ocean and the Pacific Ocean. Its maximum length is 12.7 centimetres (5.0 in). It has anal and dorsal soft rays. This species is usually found between 0–200 metres (0–656 ft) at night.[1]
