Engineering and Physical Sciences

The Division of Engineering and Physical Sciences is a part of the National Research Council, which serves as an independent adviser to the President, the Congress and federal agencies on scientific and technical questions of national importance. The National Research Council is jointly administered by the National Academy of Sciences, the National Academy of Engineering, and the Institute of Medicine. Its mission is to assess the role of science and technology in important public policy issues and decisions in public programs. [1]
