Equulites elongatus, commonly known as the slender ponyfish, is a marine fish native to the western Pacific and Indian Oceans.[1] As of 2011 it has been found in the eastern Mediterranean off Israel, where it is suspected to be an invasive species from the Red Sea via the Suez Canal.[2]
