The current darter (Etheostoma uniporum) is a species of darter endemic to the eastern United States, where it occurs Black River drainage from south central Missouri to north central Arkansas. It occurs in shallow gravel riffles, sometimes rocky runs and pools of headwaters and creeks.[2]
