Euphaedra medon, the Widespread Forester, is a butterfly in the Nymphalidae family. It is found in Senegal, Gambia, Guinea-Bissau, Guinea, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Togo, Benin, Nigeria, Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, the Republic of Congo, Angola, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Sudan, Ethiopia, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania and Zambia.[2] The habitat consists of forests and riverine vegetation.

The larvae feed on Phialodiscus unijugatus, Deinbollia fulvotomentella, Paullinia pinnata, Phialodiscus zambesiacus and Allophylus species
