Exequiel Fernando Figueroa Reyes (1924 Santiago - 28 December 2005) was a Chilean civil engineer, basketball player and coach.

Career

His first club was Famae, from where he went to the team from the University of Chile,where he studied civil construction. With the university team, he won the national championships in 1943, 1948, 1949 and 1952.[1]

He played for the Chilean international team in the South American Basketball Championship in Lima 1943, Guayaquil 1945, Rio de Janeiro 1947, Asuncion 1949 and the Pan American Games in Buenos Aires in 1951. He was also a participant in the team that won the World Championship in Buenos Aires 1950 and started the London 1948 and Helsinki 1952.[1]

As a coach, he led the Chilean national team in the South American Championship in Cucuta 1956 and Santiago in 1958, and with Luis Valenzuela and Juan Arredondo, were part of the technical team who led the national team in the 1959 FIBA World Championship, where they reached the third place.[1]
