Farm to Market Road 1816 or FM 1816, is a two-lane, state-maintained highway that connects the farming areas of north central Montague County to Bowie. FM 1816 also intersects with FM 1806 east of Stoneburg, US 82 near Belcherville, and other various county secondary roads. The road generally parallels US 81 through central Montague County.

History
FM 1816 was designated in 1951 from US 82 north 1.3 miles. In 1955, FM 1816 extended south 4.8 miles. In 1956, FM 1816 extended south to FM 1806. In 1958, FM 1816 extended south to SH 59, replacing FM 1935 from SH 59 north 3.8 miles.
