Ferial Masry has been a part of the 37th Assembly District now for 30 years. She has accomplished in her time as a resident being a small-business owner, a successful author, lecturer, and she now is a teacher at a public school. She is a motivated woman who continually engages in community service and is passionate about making a bright future for California.[1]
Personal Information
Masry, who was born in Mecca, became the first Saudi American to run for political office in U.S. history when she campaigned for California State Assembly in 2004. Her run was covered by The New York Times, Associated Press, and led to an interview with Peter Jennings.[2]
