Flavie Flament (real name: Flavie Lecanu, born 2 July 1974 in Valognes, Normandy) is a French television and radio presenter.

Early life

Flament is the daughter of Jean-Paul Lecanu, a former professional football player for Stade Malherbe de Caen (1970–1974), currently employed by the SNCF, and an employee of the French state children's protection agency, Aide sociale à l'enfance (ASE). She has two older brothers: Olivier (the elder) and Maxime. In 1988 she was elected "Miss OK" under the name of Flavie Lecanu, Miss Normandy in the show L'élection de Miss OK 88 broadcast on M6 (hosted by Marie-Pierre Lacq and Jean-Luc Delarue).[1]

In 1994, Flament obtained a Bachelor of Applied Foreign Languages.[2]

TV career

Flament began her career as a production assistant for the TV show Frou-Frou by Christine Bravo on Antenne 2. She then became head of production for Philippe Alfonsi for Ça déméninge ! on La Cinquième.

In 1998, she became weather presenter on Canal + and then collaborated with the show Un autre journal with Philippe Gildas, Unisex and Toutes les Télés on M6.

In 2000, Flament daily hosted Exclusif on TF1 alongside Frédéric Joly, and Stars à domicile.

From 2001 to 2005 she presented the live event Domino Day on TF1 (alongside Denis Brogniart and Dave).

Flament hosted on TF1 events and special programs including L'homme le plus drôle de l'année, Les 500 Choristes ensemble, Tube d'un jour, tube de toujours, Sagas, Vis ma Vie and La Chanson de l'année.[3]

She presented a daily short program named Leçon de style, which was broadcast on TF1. These programs were sponsored by C&A, whose Flavie Flament was the ambassador. She revealed in media that she wanted to present television show Sept à Huit.[4]

In 2009, Flament hosted Love and bluff on TF1.

Personal life

Flament had a first child named Antoine, born on 23 December 1995, from her first marriage with the director Bernard Flament.[5]

On 21 September 2002, she married the television host Benjamin Castaldi with whom she has a second child, Enzo born on 8 February 2004. They are divorced.[6]

Her current companion is the director Pierre Quatrefages.[7]

Flament also appeared naked on Gala magazine.[8]

In 2016 she accused British photographer David Hamilton of raping her when she was 13 years old. France’s statute of limitations protected Hamilton from prosecution. [9]
