Flyrobe is an online rental fashion company that allows its users to rent premium outfits for various occasions. The company was co-founded by IIT-Bombay alumni Pranay Surana, Tushar Saxena and Shreya Mishra.[1] Currently, the company caters to its user base in Mumbai and Delhi, and is planning to launch in Hyderabad and Bangalore. [2]

Funding

In 2015, Flyrobe raised $1.7 million from Sequoia Capital. Flyrobe investors include Snapdeal founders Kunal Bahl and Rohit Bansal, Paytm founder Vijay Shekhar Sharma, Freecharge founders Kunal Shah and Sandeep Tandon, and Zishaan Hayath, founder of Toppr.[3] Then, it raised $5.3 Million in series A funding[4]

Reception

Through Flyrobe, shoppers can obtain clothing for 10 to 15 percent of the normal price. They may then keep the clothing for three to four days before returning it. The company crossed the benchmark of 15 orders per day post 15 weeks of its launch. So far, many celebrities like Sunny Leone[5] Parineeti Chopra[6] have used the portal.
