Francisco de Vitoria Association
The Francisco de Vitoria Association ((Spanish) "AsociaciĆ³n Francisco de Vitoria", AFV) is one of the five Spanish, professional associations of judges and magistrates. Since judges and magistrates in Spain are barred from joining class trade unions, professional associations, are intended to protect the rights and interests of judges and magistrates. AFV is the second association by membership and ideologically moderate. It is named in honor of 16th century Catholic theologian Francisco de Vitoria.
