The GPT Group is a Real Estate Investment Trust (also known as an Australian Stock Exchange listed stapled entity). The Group has been publicly listed in Australia since April 1971 and is now one of Australia's largest diversified listed property groups.
GPT has a substantial investor base, with more than 37,000 investors, and is one of the top 40 stocks by market capitalisation with $18.7 billion of assets under management.
The Group focuses on active ownership of Australian real estate in a portfolio that includes retail, office and logistics and business park assets. This focus is complemented by Funds Management and selective development.
GPT has been named the world's most sustainable real estate company by the annual Dow Jones Sustainability Index in four of the past seven years. GPT in September 2015 confirmed it had achieved a 50 per cent reduction in the emissions intensity of its operations compared to its 2005 baseline.[1]
