GT Nexus, is a privately owned cloud supply chain platform, founded in 1998 in Oakland, California. It runs an on-demand global supply chain management platform that is used by organizations to manage global logistics and trade processes.[4] In September 2015, GT Nexus was acquired by Infor. Today, GT Nexus runs as a dedicated business unit of Infor.
The company operates in The Americas, Europe, and Asia with a focus on Manufacturing and Retail including companies in Pharma, High Tech, Automotive, CPG, Apparel, and Footwear. Logistics Services Providers, Financial Services Providers, and Suppliers are also part of the GT Nexus network. Its customers include Brooks Brothers,[5] Sears,[6] Adidas, Procter & Gamble,[7] Del Monte Foods,[8][9] Caterpillar Inc.,[10] Koch Industries,[11] Abercrombie & Fitch,[12] and Home Depot.[13]
History
- 1998 – Founded in Alameda, CA as Tradiant.[14]
- 2001 - Renamed GT Nexus from Tradiant.[15]
- 2008 – Acquired Metaship,[16] a provider of logistics management technology.
- 2013 – Merged with TradeCard. Joint company employs about 1,000 people,[17] and serves about 20,000 businesses in manufacturing, retail, and logistics.[18]
- 2014 - Acquired Clear Abacus, a cloud-based solution that optimizes multimodal transportation planning.
- 2015 - Acquired by Infor,[19][20][21] a technology company delivering industry-specific cloud suites. The deal, valued at $675 million,[22] closed on September 21, 2015.[23]

GT Nexus products are used by importers, exporters, logistics providers, and financial institutions to manage the flow of inventory, transactions, and information related to global trade. All capabilities are delivered in the cloud with a subscription pricing model.
