Gar Munara (Urdu: گڑھ منارہ) is a Village.Gar Munara is a beautiful village located on the Bankbank of river Indus, in Swabi , Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. It is near the town of Marghuz. Thousands of visitors across Pakistan Visit Gar munara every year, specially in summer to enjoy at the Great river Indus. It has population of around 5000. Most of the people are Government/public servants. Many of them go abroad for work. The village has only bank HBL is located in the center of the village, where people pay their utilities bills like Electricity, Telephone and also used for different local and international transaction. Popular crops Wheat, Corn, sugar cane and tobacco are grown here. Few resort are constructed with the name Rahat Khan Bangla, lewanay khan Bangla etc.Gar Munara village is surrounded by different villages like Dhok is situated on its East Moosa Banda on its West Marghuz is on its North and River Indus is on its South. Cricket, Kabadi and belorae are popular games in this village Literacy rate is high in this area. There is one metriculation school for boys as well as for girls. One primary school for girls and one for boys. New college for girls is under construction and estimated to be finish by mid-2015
