Garden Island (Launceston)

Garden Island is on Clarence Point at the mouth of the Tamar River in Tasmania

It was excavated and backfilled towards the shore to improve the shipping channel in the river. There are plenty of oysters and good fishing here and it is also a scenic lookout.[1]
