George M. Fredrickson (July 16, 1934  February 25, 2008) was an American Edgar E. Robinson Professor of U.S. History at Stanford University from 1984 until the time of his retirement in 2002.

Career

Fredrickson was best known for his work in the fields of comparative history, along with his work in the study of the history of racism and white supremacy. Fredrickson was also the president of the Organization of American Historians.
