Gh-link is a national ATM card in Ghana that enables users to use the same card at different bank ATM points. This service is to interconnect banks in Ghana. Gh-link was launched on 21 November 2012[1] by the Ghana Interbank Payment and Settlement Systems.[2]
Services
Services available on Gh-Link include:
- Inter-bank switching of ATMs in Ghana which allows users to assess all member financial institutional ATMs with their cards.
- It also provides a platform for switching, clearing and settlement of POS transactions of member financial institutions.
- It provides a platform for online payments.
- Gh-Link provides host to financial institutions through card management, ATM driving and POS.[3]
Features
Gh-Link has the following features:
- Payments are made through bank account numbers.
- It provides a 24 hour service.
- It features an inter-bank account to account transfer.
- It is used for payments within Ghana in Ghana Cedis.[4]
