Vice Admiral Girish Luthra is an Indian Navy officer, currently serving as Flag Officer Commanding Western Naval Command[1]
He joined the Navy in 1979.[2] He has commanded the ships INS Khukri, INS Talwar as well as the aircraft carrier INS Viraat.[2]
He served as Flag Officer Commanding Southern Naval Command[3] before being appointed to Western Naval Command. Prior to this he was the Deputy Chief of Integrated Defence Staff (Operations).[2]
