Inspiration
Whether the title of this song was related in any way to the 1936 Margaret Mitchell novel Gone with the Wind is difficult to determine. The timing of the song's release suggests there may have been an influence, though the lyrics have no obvious connection to the subject matter of the novel. The song should not be confused with any of the music featured in the 1939 film adaptation.[3]
