Grand Texas Theme Park is a theme park set to open near Houston, Texas, in the United States, in early 2018.[1] It will be located within the Grand Texas Sports and Entertainment District in New Caney, Montgomery County at Interstate 69 (US Highway 59) and SH 242.[2] Site work began in July 2013, and groundbreaking has not begun as of May 2015. It will feature seven theme areas related to Texas history and culture.

The park will have seven theme areas related to Texas history and culture.[2] It will be managed by Innovative Leisure Partners.[2]

Construction

Site work began in July 2013.[3] Brae Burn Construction Company, based in Houston, will serve as the contractor for the first phase of construction. Dallas-based GHA Architects will design the park.[2] Groundbreaking was scheduled to begin in the fall of 2013.[3] The Construction on the Grand Texas Theme Park will begin once the construction of Big Rivers is in operations.[4]
