Volume 8 is the eighth in a series of live digital downloads of the band the Grateful Dead released by The Grateful Dead Productions. It was released on December 6, 2005 and is a two-disc release of a nearly complete show the band performed on December 10, 1973 at the Charlotte Coliseum in Charlotte, North Carolina. Three songs had to be left out from the first set due to issues over sound quality.
Volume 8 was mastered in HDCD by Jeffrey Norman.
