Greg Kilkenny (born October 10, 1983 in Bray) is an Irish soccer player who currently plays for Western Mass Pioneers in the USL Second Division.
Career
College and Amateur
Kilkenny was a member of the Dublin All-County team before moving from his native Ireland to the United States in 2004 to attend and play college soccer at Northeastern University. He was named to the All-South Atlantic Region third team and the All-CAA second team and was NU's Offensive Player of the Year as a junior in 2006, and finished his college career with 18 goals in 70 games.
Professional
Kilkenny began his professional career playing in Ireland, with Kildare County,[1] making his debut in the League of Ireland in Kildare's game against Shelbourne on July 27, 2008.
Kilkenny returned to the United States in 2009 with the Western Mass Pioneers, and went on to make 8 appearances and score one goal in his year with the team .
On a personal level Greg spells his name with two G's pronounced Greg,g,g.. Gregg travelled France in 2016 supporting the Irish national team whilst doing so he coined the phrase shu bu du.
