Guy Mercer (born 12 December 1989 in Bristol) is a Rugby Union player for Bath in the Aviva Premiership. His position of choice is Flanker. Mercer was promoted from the academy in the 2009–2010 season. Mercer is the current club captain for Bath.
Mercer played England U16s and was expected to carry on within the England ranks were it not for a serious shoulder injury. Guy was named man-of-the-match in Bath's Aviva Premiership loss to Wasps in 2010 and since has been a regular starter for Bath since 2011. He is tipped by many as a rising star of the English game and has a rapidly growing fan base.
